Like a circle in a spiral, Like a wheel within a wheel..

About

Since 2000 our minds have been turning and churning this idea that is DeafHub.

The business plan has been written and rewritten, questioned and queried. Our dreams of providing a base for empowering Deaf and hard of hearing professional friends to realise their own dreams of working in a professional environment, exercising their skills, and of providing a springboard for those who question their own abilities to dive off into the great unknown have alternately been boosted and quashed and boosted again as the concept has evolved.

We want DeafHub to be a place of community and unity within our diversity; a place that every D/deaf and hard of hearing person can feel home, a forum for us to lead the world in educating those hearing people around us about everything to do with their deaf lives. A place where hearing people are accepted as cohabitants of this world, even of this Deaf world, where they are accepted as those who value the D/deaf and hard of hearing people in their lives. Where together we can investigate the meaning of community, and consider how to move forward in affirming ways.

And to achieve all of that, we provide in-depth, accurate information, facts based, peer reviewed.

Let the fun begin! :)
